Best Start meetings are held on the 4rdThursday of each month, at St. Marys Medical Center, Parr Health Enhancement Center, 1050 Linden Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90813.
At this meeting, we are excited to have "Healthy Foods and Farmer's Markets", witha cooking demonstration by Healthy Active Long Beach. Bring a friend and learn more about this important topic and get helpful information for you, your family, and your community.
Networking and dinner begins at 4:30pm. The meeting will be held from 5:00 – 7:00pm. RSVP deadline is the Monday before the meeting. Childcare, bus passes and parking passes are available upon request only.

First 5 LA is a unique child-advocacy organization created by California voters to invest tobacco tax revenues in programs for improving the lives of children in Los Angeles County, from prenatal through age 5.
Since 1998, we have invested more than $1.1 billion in grants and programs to champion the health, education, and safety causes concerning young children and families.

First 5 LA’s mission is to make significant and measurable progress towards our vision by increasing the number of children from the prenatal stage through age 5 who are physically and emotionally healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
We accomplish our mission by partnering with communities and families in Los Angeles County to forward our goals in the areas of Early Learning, Health, and Safe Children and Families.
